Guatemala has become renowned for the quality of its Bluewater fishing and the prolific Sailfish population.
Fishing in Guatemala is great all year round – but the peak season for Sailfish is November – May. This is when the weather is warm, and the currents converge into giant eddies that attract and hold baitfish in enormous quantities. These large schools also attract predators in large numbers – and in particular large, hungry, aggressive Pacific Sailfish.
Sometimes the numbers can be unbelievable – 123 on conventional fishing tackle by one boat in one day last year !! An “average” day can bring 10-20 raises ! Our goal is to make this remarkable fishery accessible to everyone – and we have built what we believe is the best value package available offered by on-site managers.
